pensador revolucionario en el seno de la Iglesia, hasta tal punto que solo \u00e9l y Santa Teresa de Jes\u00fas, \u00fanicos espa\u00f1oles, cuentan con una estatua propia en el Vaticano. Por eso y por sus or\u00edgenes alcantarinos es, adem\u00e1s, el <strong>patr\u00f3n de Extremadura.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Su labor apost\u00f3lica y su legado fueron inconmensurables,<\/strong> viajando por toda la pen\u00ednsula ib\u00e9rica e incluso hasta Roma, y fundando nuevos conventos all\u00ed por donde pasaba. Pero <strong>el de la Pur\u00edsima Concepci\u00f3n del Palancar es su gran obra,<\/strong> y no por su magnitud \u2014de hecho es conocido como el convento m\u00e1s peque\u00f1o del mundo\u2014 sino por <strong>simbolizar como ninguna otra su esp\u00edritu austero<\/strong> y por concebir aqu\u00ed su Tratado de la oraci\u00f3n y meditaci\u00f3n.<\/p><p><strong>Realmente impresiona ver el tama\u00f1o diminuto de la celda donde dorm\u00eda y meditaba<\/strong>,<strong> de su cama y del claustro original<\/strong> que a\u00fan se conserva.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t<section
