Another of the remarkable geological sites in the Villuercas Ibores Jara Geopark where time seems to have stood still for millions of years. And that’s no exaggeration, because on the sheer walls of the road itself, next to the viewing points, if you look closely you’ll see ‘cruzianas’, which are nothing more than fossilised trilobite tracks; it’s really exciting to find them.

As for birds, it is one of the most exciting spots in UNESCO Territories, because these rugged cliffs are home to a large colony of griffon vulture, accompanied by Egyptian vulture, black stork, Bonelli’s eagle, eagle owl, peregrine falcon, red-billed chough, rock pipit, solitary rock thrush or black wheatear among other species. If you’re into birdwatching, this is definitely a place to add to your list of places to visit.
