You go up to the San Cristóbal Hill –that massive granite batholith with historical sites in the Villuercas Ibores Jara Geopark–, and bam! A white round table on top, which is lit from 10.00 pm to midnight. It is one of the gems of the strategy «Extremadura, Good Night», which pays tribute here to Mario Roso de Luna, the Achiever astronomer and scientist (1872–1931), who saw kites where others saw sheep.

The viewing point displays a map of the constellations that can be seen from that specific spot depending on the time of year, where The Milky Way appears with breathtaking clarity. 

A word of advice: during the The Perseids (August) or the Geminids (December) The Roso de Luna viewpoint is one one of the best spots in the province of Cáceres for birdwatching.
