El Péndere, situated in the old chapel Named after the town of Santiago de Alcántara, it is the perfect place to find out everything you need to know about the the fauna, flora and network of footpaths in the Tajo Internacional Biosphere Reserve.

It has a a room dedicated to the landscape and ecosystems, flora and fauna, dioramas, display panels, an interpretative model, an audiovisual presentation and a planisphere projected onto the dome of the chapel. And they explain it all brilliantly.

At the centre, you can do guided tours by prior booking, including that of the Dolmen Culture Interpretation Centre in the same town. Two for the price of one.
