It is the best viewpoint overlooking the town of Serrejón, with views of the Gredos Mountains and, what’s more, it’s in a Starlight Destination for the quality of its starry skies. On the site you’ll also find the Fuente de los Huertos, a a large pond, picnic areas and a replica of a traditional hut that can be used as accommodation.

And if you want to make sense of what you’re seeing, there’s nothing better than looking at the circular backlit device which is activated at night, and which has two integrated star charts, one that can be seen on summer nights and another on autumn nights.

It usually switches on automatically at around 10.00 pm. Keep calm and watch as everything that’s happening up there is displayed on the screen: constellations, the brightest stars and the MIR space station. Well, perhaps not the last one.
