Tagus Cycle Route
If cycling’s your thing, you’ll love the Tagus Cycle Route: 355 km of cycle paths through UNESCO sites, taking you past mountains, rivers, pastures and Mediterranean woodland, with unique geological formations, wildlife and historic gems such as the Alcántara Bridge.

The Tagus Cycle Route runs through the UNESCO territories, following the course of the Tajo Nature Trail GR 113, which runs more or less parallel to the riverbed, incorporating a few diversions that make the entire trail suitable for cycling.

355 kilometres to cycle as if there were no tomorrow; Nine stages of pure pleasure – UNESCO which you can explore from east to west, or vice versa, through the northern section of the Villuercas–Ibores–Jara Geopark, the entire Monfragüe Biosphere Reserve —including a large part of the national park— and the Tajo Internacional Transboundary Biosphere Reserve right up to the Portuguese border.
