Cigar Villuercas Ibores Jara Geopark, that’s what this tour has to offer between the towns of Guadalupe and Castañar de Ibor. Because, as well as encouraging a visit to the Guadalupe Monastery, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the town’s historic quarter, offers a very, very geological itinerary.

With the Villuercas peak rising above the entire landscape, once past the Humilladero Pass and its magnificent chapel, the EX-118 road winds its way into the Ibor anticline with breathtaking views of this landscape and the beautiful deciduous forests that cover it.

The final destination will be Castañar de Ibor, where the cave namesake and her interpretation centre, another of the geopark’s gems. And if you fancy a bit of a walk, the Calabazas chestnut trees, a splendid group of unique trees.
